We were contracted to manage the security requirements for the Christmas Lights Switch On in Lancaster by Lancaster Unlimited.
We supplied all the crowd safety barriers and Herris fencing that was needed for the occasion. Additionally, we installed it as the ESAG plan listed. Our day started at 6.00 am as we delivered all the barriers to where they were required and fenced off the central plinth in Market Square.
This job included crowd control of the Market Square and Market Street area, as well as providing security officers for Bay Radio and the main stage.
At 12 noon a pre-event briefing was held where all the last minute details were finalised. This was to ensure that everyone knew exactly what their roles and responsibilities were.
We provided transport and security to the hotel for the main act and managed the green room security at the event.
All our SIA licensed full-time employees were in radio contact with our roaming supervisor at all times during the event. Everyone was constantly updated on crowd numbers and areas that could potentially cause issues by high numbers.
